Senior Attorney needed for Walnut Creek office

Location

• Walnut Creek, CA

Duties

• Conduct complex legal research to support Lemon Law litigation cases.
• Serve as second or third chair in trial efforts, including trial preparation and strategy development.
• Draft and file motions, oppositions, and other legal documents involving complex legal issues.
• Represent clients in hearings for motions and oppositions.
• Conduct depositions of key witnesses, including experts, executives, and technical specialists.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to entry-level and mid-level associate attorneys.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve internal policies and client communication efforts.
• Assist with interdepartmental coordination and ensure timely resolution of legal issues.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to existing firm procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in consumer protection or related legal areas preferred.
• Active member in good standing with the California Bar.
• Strong research, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, depositions, and inspections.
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds as needed.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed attorney, member of the California Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Experience supervising and training junior attorneys is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
• Strong interest in consumer protection law and legal advocacy.
• Willingness to work in a paperless environment and learn new technologies.
