Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly experienced transactional attorney to join its Public Finance practice, focusing on health care finance. This role is open to candidates in various U.S. locations, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile tax-exempt and taxable transactions. Duties

  • Serve as bond counsel, borrower's counsel, underwriter's counsel, or bank counsel for nonprofit and public health care financings.
  • Support public finance transactions for senior living facilities and health-related entities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key financing documents.
  • Assist in structuring and executing financings related to health care M&A and debt restructurings.
  • Contribute to public-private partnership and municipal economic development financings.
  • Manage deal teams and coordinate due diligence and closing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of legal experience in public finance, health care finance, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of tax-exempt financing structures and capital markets transactions.
  • Experience with nonprofit health care systems and governmental issuers preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
