Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Law Senior Attorney in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and a strong background in employment litigation and defense.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee PAGA claims, including class action-style lawsuits.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies tailored to PAGA claims.
  • Monitor and manage the discovery process, including evidence gathering and witness depositions.
  • Provide counsel on compliance with California labor laws and conduct audits.
  • Assist clients in developing policies related to wage and hour issues.
  • Evaluate and advise on new legislation or case law affecting PAGA claims.
  • Foster and expand client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on PAGA compliance and litigation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff.
  • Review and approve legal work to ensure compliance and quality.

Requirements

  • Well-established employment litigation and defense background.
  • Significant PAGA/Class/Compliance expertise.
  • Jury trial/civil court trial experience preferred.
  • Experience with public entity defense is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees.

Certifications

  • Member, State Bar of California in good standing.
