Associate Attorney needed for Overland Park office

Duties:

• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and depositions

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, correspondence, and settlement agreements

• Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and concerns

• Develop legal strategies tailored to individual client goals

• Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to improve case outcomes and efficiency

• Maintain and manage case files from intake to resolution

• Interact with opposing counsel, courts, and third parties to advocate for client interests

• Monitor deadlines, respond to client communications, and manage a high-volume caseload

• Exercise independent judgment on case development and legal strategy

Requirements:

• Prior experience in family law preferred but not required

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve cases with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal skills and client-service orientation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas

• In good standing with the Kansas State Bar
