Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney in Plano, TX. This role offers a unique opportunity for attorneys with 1 to 10 years of experience to manage files independently, engage in motion practice, and participate in courtroom activities, depositions, and trial preparation. Duties

  • Represent clients in federal and some state court litigation, including discovery and depositions.
  • Draft and argue discovery and dispositive motions; participate in settlement conferences and mediations.
  • Review cases for liability, settlement potential, and trial success likelihood.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements; appear in court nationwide (occasional travel required).
  • Communicate with co-defendant and plaintiff counsel, clients, and internal teams for case management.
  • Advise clients on litigation avoidance and liability limitation.

Requirements

  • Licensed in Texas.
  • 3-10 years of experience with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and consumer law preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
