Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Cyber and Data Privacy Attorney to join its team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The firm is looking for motivated attorneys to contribute to its national and international cyber and data privacy practice, providing litigation defense and breach response services.

Duties

  • Provide litigation defense for cyber insurers and major corporates.
  • Engage in 24/7/365 breach response services.
  • Collaborate with global cyber teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Propose litigation strategies and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Draft reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and trials.
  • Manage crisis situations and address regulatory and data risk issues.
  • Advise clients on incident response and investigations related to data breaches.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of federal litigation experience.
  • 2-6 years of cyber incident response experience.
  • Experience in crisis management and regulatory issues.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Florida.

Skills

  • Strong communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and litigation strategies.
