Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Attorney to provide legal representation in complex immigration cases. This role focuses on removal defense, including appeals, legal motions, and in-depth case analysis. The position requires strong legal writing abilities and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients. This is an in-office role with occasional travel for hearings or interviews.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration court and before government agencies.
  • Draft compelling legal briefs, motions, and other documentation for immigration proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research to develop effective case strategies.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, courts, and relevant agencies.

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with active bar membership in any U.S. state.
  • At least 3 years of experience handling removal defense cases, particularly in appeals and motions to reopen (exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered).
  • Strong legal research and writing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with any U.S. State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in removal defense and immigration law.
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
