Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join their team in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will engage in Civil Defense Litigation, particularly in Insurance Defense, and must be prepared to manage their own docket of cases. A hybrid work schedule is available, but local residency is required.

Duties

• Review new file assignments and approve initial pleadings.
• Propound discovery and develop case strategy.
• Maintain regular client contact and address inquiries.
• Engage in all aspects of discovery, including depositions.
• Conduct due diligence and gather relevant facts and documents.
• Research applicable laws and identify legal issues.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or insurance defense.
• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and a passion for client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
