Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Estate Planning and Probate Attorney in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on probate litigation, including non-contested and contested guardianships, will contests, trust disputes, and breaches of fiduciary duty. The attorney will also draft and approve estate plans, allowing them to concentrate on their passion for law without the need to generate new business.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee trust and estate planning matters, including drafting wills and trusts.
  • Handle all aspects of probate and estate administration to ensure legal compliance.
  • Provide expert legal advice on estate planning, wealth preservation, and probate litigation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years, preferably 6 years, experience in estate planning and probate matters, including guardianships.
  • Bar admission in the state of Texas, with at least 2 years of licensure.
  • Working knowledge of drafting and client management software, such as TxDoc or Clio.
  • Proficiency with MS Office or Google Suite.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Texas.

Skills

  • Excellent client management and communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various professionals.
