Job Title:
Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, recognized for its expertise in high-stakes litigation, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated legal matters including general liability, commercial disputes, and catastrophic injury cases. The firm places a strong emphasis on collaboration, strategic input, and professional autonomy, offering attorneys the opportunity to manage cases from the ground up and engage in meaningful courtroom work.

Duties:

  • Handle complex litigation matters from inception through trial

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

  • Represent clients in state and federal courts

  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategy

  • Manage client communications and case updates

  • Prepare for and assist with the trial, including witness prep and exhibit organization

Requirements:

  • 1-7 years of experience handling civil litigation matters

  • Familiarity with both state and federal court procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

  • Strong legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy skills

  • Experience with catastrophic injury or general liability cases preferred

  • Trial experience or substantial deposition and motion practice is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

  • Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative environment

  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management systems
