A law firm with a four-decade track record of success is seeking a full-time Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join its Boston-based private client services group. The ideal candidate will bring 2–5 years of hands-on experience in estate planning and estate/trust administration, a passion for helping individuals and families protect generational wealth, and a drive to grow within a collegial, well-established legal environment. The role offers strong mentorship, clear partnership potential, and a bonus structure tied to performance and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client consultations to uncover goals around wealth preservation, family legacy, and healthcare preferences

  • Develop tailored estate strategies in collaboration with senior legal advisors

  • Draft, review, and finalize sophisticated planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, healthcare proxies, and durable powers of attorney

  • Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax considerations

  • Guide fiduciaries and beneficiaries through probate and trust administration processes

  • Interpret changes in relevant federal and state regulations to ensure client compliance and optimal planning

  • Offer guidance on lifetime giving, charitable structures, and asset protection strategies

  • Maintain strong communication with clients to ensure trust and transparency throughout the legal process

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Active license to practice law in Massachusetts

  • A minimum of 2 years (and up to 5 years) of relevant legal experience in estate planning and probate

  • Demonstrated proficiency with trusts, wills, and related legal frameworks

  • Solid understanding of estate and gift tax laws at both the state and federal levels

  • Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with team members

  • Previous experience with administering estates and managing trust accounts

  • Highly organized, capable of handling multiple matters simultaneously under a deadline
