Job Overview:

A growing, San Francisco-based litigation firm is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate with 5-7 years of experience to join its team. This is an equity partner track position, ideal for an attorney looking for challenging and rewarding cases in a boutique environment. The successful candidate will have a direct role in handling business and real estate disputes while working with clients and opposing counsel.

Location:

  • San Francisco, CA

Duties:

  • Handle all stages of litigation, from discovery through to trial.
  • Conduct written discovery and manage document review.
  • Research and draft pleadings and motions.
  • Work directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Develop a book of business and progress toward partnership.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Strong experience with written discovery, research, and drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Familiarity with document review platforms and cloud-based technology (Dropbox, Google Workspace).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and thorough legal work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • California Bar admission.
  • Solid academic credentials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in conducting and managing document review.
  • Expertise in drafting legal pleadings and motions.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and legal document review platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
