Job Overview

A respected national law firm is seeking an Immigration Associate with a minimum of two years of business immigration experience to join its Labor & Employment practice group. This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of employment-based immigration matters, supporting clients in diverse industries. Attorneys in this role will collaborate with a dedicated team across multiple offices, gain hands-on experience, and contribute directly to client-facing work in a hybrid environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and file PERM applications, H-1B petitions, L-1 petitions, and related immigration filings

  • Manage employment-based immigration matters from intake through completion

  • Draft legal documents and support filings with the Department of Labor and USCIS

  • Research and analyze immigration laws and regulations

  • Communicate with clients regarding case strategy and documentation

  • Coordinate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of business immigration experience

  • Proven experience with PERM, H-1B, and L-1 filings

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, high-volume matters

  • Client-focused mindset with strong communication skills

  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management abilities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • In good standing with the applicable state bar

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Proficiency in employment-based immigration law and procedures

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent client service and interpersonal communication
