Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated litigation attorney to join their team in Tyler, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from consultation to trial, with mentorship from experienced trial attorneys and shareholder supervision.

Duties

• Manage civil litigation cases from initial consultation to trial.
• Draft pleadings, conduct discovery, and take depositions.
• Argue motions and prepare for and attend trials.
• Collaborate with partners to develop litigation strategies.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and receive mentorship.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 1-5 years of litigation experience; trial experience is a plus.
• Strong desire to be a trial lawyer and gain hands-on litigation experience.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
