Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading Florida-based insurance defense law firm is currently seeking experienced attorneys to join its growing team. The firm handles a wide range of practice areas, including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking/Maintenance of Traffic. Location:

• Miami, FL

Duties:

• Handle a range of insurance defense matters including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking/Maintenance of Traffic.
• Work closely with clients to manage cases and explore early resolution strategies.
• Participate in trial preparation, motions, discovery, and case management.
• Engage in strategic collaboration with team members, developing strategies for success and early resolution opportunities.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with clients, ensuring they are updated on case progress.
• Accurately and ethically record billable time and meet deadlines.
• Utilize case management systems and technology to manage caseloads effectively.
• Participate in firm-wide training, mentoring, and roundtables to enhance legal skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
• Strong knowledge of various insurance defense practice areas (General Liability, Bodily Injury, First Party Property, etc.).
• Willingness to explore early resolution strategies and alternative approaches to traditional litigation.
• Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to respond promptly to client inquiries and provide regular case progress updates.
• Technologically proficient and comfortable using case management systems.
• Familiarity with AIM/Perfect Law systems is a plus.
• Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Florida Bar.

• In-depth knowledge of insurance defense litigation.
