Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Attend and manage court proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Communicate effectively with courts, counsel, clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Record billable hours accurately and timely, adhering to firm policy.
• Maintain professional legal ethics and standards.

Requirements

• License to practice law in California with active bar membership.
• 1-7 years of litigation experience.
• Strong written and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Westlaw or Nexis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills

• Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to handle complex problems with initiative and sound judgment.
• Experience in construction law, real estate, contracts, insurance, and/or complex litigation is preferred.
