Job Overview

A Burbank-based personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage an expanding docket of litigation matters. This full-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented attorney who thrives in fast-paced litigation environments and has a solid understanding of California court procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a caseload independently, from complaint through resolution, and possess strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills.

Duties

• Handle personal injury litigation cases from complaint filing through final resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions (including motions for summary judgment), and other legal documents

• Conduct and respond to all phases of discovery

• Take and defend depositions

• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel

• Appear in court for hearings, case management conferences, and related proceedings

• Conduct legal research and apply findings to case strategy

• Maintain client communication and manage client expectations throughout the case lifecycle

• Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings when necessary

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in California personal injury law

• Familiarity with California civil procedure and local court rules

• Ability to independently manage a personal injury caseload

• Strong knowledge of discovery processes and courtroom advocacy

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of California
