Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney. This position requires a highly motivated and strategic legal professional with a strong background in criminal law, including felony case management, trials, and client advocacy. Location:

  • San Antonio, Texas

Duties:

  • Manage an active criminal law caseload from start to finish

  • Supervise and collaborate with assigned paralegal

  • Conduct pre-trial discovery and prepare for trial proceedings

  • Represent clients in hearings, bench trials, and jury trials

  • Review case files regularly for compliance and accuracy

  • Provide co-counsel assistance within the criminal department as needed

  • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in criminal law

  • Demonstrated ability to handle felony cases, including negotiations and litigation

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and strategic thinking abilities

  • Self-motivated with the capacity to manage a diverse docket independently

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed

  • Flexible availability to meet case demands

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar License (Required)
