Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Class Action Counsel, Discovery to work remotely from San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on discovery within class actions, collective actions, and PAGA matters, allowing attorneys to develop expertise in complex litigation without full-case management responsibilities.

Duties

  • Partner with trial teams to manage all aspects of the discovery process.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests.
  • Manage evidence, document review, and production.
  • Prepare for discovery meet and confer processes.
  • Develop strategies for managing discovery in complex cases.
  • Collaborate with clients and vendors to organize and manage documents.
  • Draft protective orders for large-scale litigation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of legal experience in wage and hour and class, collective, and/or representative actions.
  • Experience with California Wage & Hour class action and/or PAGA litigation preferred.
  • Experience drafting and responding to discovery in large-scale litigation.
  • Experience with document review platforms and vendors.
  • Active bar license in the candidate's state of residence.

Education

  • Excellent academic credentials required.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in the candidate's state of residence.

Skills

  • Ability to develop practical discovery approaches for effective defense.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing high-volume document review and production.
