Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking a highly experienced Corporate Attorney with a strong background in transactional business law. The ideal candidate will bring over seven years of experience in advising privately held businesses and nonprofits on a range of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, secured financing, and organizational structuring. This is a hybrid role based in Bend, Oregon.

Duties

  • Provide general counsel services to privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of business contracts and agreements

  • Advise on business structures, reorganizations, and mergers & acquisitions

  • Manage legal aspects of secured financing transactions

  • Oversee commercial real estate transactions and leasing

  • Collaborate with clients on legal strategy and risk management

  • Deliver legal services efficiently in a team-oriented, client-focused environment

  • Interact with tribal entities or public agencies (experience in this area is advantageous)

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience practicing transactional business law

  • Demonstrated expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business contracts, and corporate structuring

  • Knowledge of commercial real estate and secured financing

  • Ability to manage multiple client needs with professionalism and efficiency

  • Admission to practice law in Oregon (active and in good standing)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in the state of Oregon

Skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities

  • Business acumen and strategic thinking

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary legal environment

  • Experience with tribal entities or public agencies (preferred but not required)
