Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced IP Disputes Lawyer to join its team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent litigation and a technical degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering. This role offers the opportunity to manage significant cases and contribute to a dynamic legal practice.

Duties

  • Manage significant patent litigation cases, including strategy development and client communication.
  • Draft briefs, motions, and pleadings in accordance with court rules.
  • Provide legal opinions on infringement, validity, and enforceability of intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Admitted and in good standing with the Texas State Bar and USPTO.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property disputes, focusing on patent litigation.
  • Technical expertise in telecommunications, electronics, and Internet technologies is highly valued.

Education

  • Technical degree required, with a strong preference for Electrical Engineering.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the Texas State Bar and USPTO.

Skills

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage significant cases effectively.
