Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its personal injury litigation team in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will work closely with two Litigation Attorneys and two Litigation Paralegals, handling a variety of tasks to support client cases. This role offers an opportunity to grow in both compensation and responsibilities.

Duties

  • Engage in strategic planning and discussions regarding cases.
  • Plan for and meet court-established deadlines.
  • Maintain client contact and interactions.
  • Appear in court as required.
  • Prepare for trials and engage in motion practice.
  • Participate in mediations and conduct depositions.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in New Mexico.
  • Personal injury experience is not required but valued.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New Mexico.

Skills

  • Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and coworkers.
  • Autonomy in decision-making and case management.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is encouraged.
