Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Attorney for the Foreclosure Department in Florida. The role involves managing the non-judicial foreclosure process and providing strategic legal advice to clients. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of the non-judicial foreclosure process, from referral to sale.
  • Handle pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
  • Prepare case analyses and advise clients on strategies.
  • Draft court pleadings and motions.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member of the FL state bar, maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements.

Skills

  • Experience in Florida creditors' rights, real estate, or mortgage servicing preferred.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure and replevin processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with consumer protection statutes such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act preferred.
  • Well-versed in the rules of evidence and introducing evidence.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
