Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney with medical malpractice expertise to join their Las Vegas, Nevada office. Duties

  • Manage and handle own files and matters.
  • Conduct interviews and meetings with client representatives.
  • Engage in direct interaction with insurance claims representatives.
  • Take and defend fact and expert depositions.
  • Prepare expert disclosures and reports.
  • Oversee pre-trial discovery and motions.
  • Manage large document production and database matters.
  • Lead mediations and trials as first chair, preferred.
  • Delegate work to paralegals effectively.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities.
  • Draft publications, articles, or legal presentations, preferred.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed to practice law in Nevada.
  • Experience in medical malpractice litigation, preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and case management skills.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Nevada.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
