Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for their Employment Litigation Department in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves significant responsibility in managing cases related to retaliation, harassment, unpaid wages, leaves of absence, and wrongful termination.

Duties

• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Develop legal strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
• Conduct depositions and meet and confers.
• Conduct ADR mediations and negotiations.
• Develop and deliver arguments and represent clients in employment matters.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• At least two years of experience specializing in employment litigation.
• Superior analytical and legal research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Exceptional organizational skills, including time management.
• Ability to type 40 wpm.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California State Bar license.
