Job Overview:
A law firm in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing legal representation, and ensuring optimal client outcomes in personal injury claims. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team of case managers and paralegals, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Location:

  • Cincinnati, OH

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, ensuring timely processing and strict adherence to legal deadlines.
  • Review medical cases and negotiate settlements in both pre-litigation and litigation stages.
  • Review insurance policies, claims, and records related to cases.
  • Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theories of liability, and demand letters.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to ensure proper management and billing of client medical treatments.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their cases.
  • Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
  • Conduct and attend Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and recorded statements.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury or litigation law.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and office skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Ohio Bar License in good standing.
