Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with experience in mortgage loan warehouse facilities to join their Global Finance group in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will have a background in handling complex transactions and a strong understanding of repurchase facility and loan-on-loan structures.

Duties

  • Represent lenders and borrowers in mortgage loan warehouse transactions.
  • Prepare and negotiate term sheets and transaction documents for financing facilities.
  • Participate as a key member of deal teams, managing transactions from term sheet through closing.

Requirements

  • Experience with repurchase facilities and warehouse lending.
  • Hands-on experience in transaction document preparation and negotiation.
  • Experience in commercial or residential mortgage loan warehouse transactions preferred.
  • Large law firm experience strongly preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex transactions independently.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
