Job Overview

A well-established law firm with a legacy of over 90 years is seeking Associate Attorney to join its Corporate and Business Law teams. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with 2–5 years of experience in corporate transactions, business counseling, or related practice areas. The position offers a dynamic and supportive work environment with exposure to a wide variety of legal matters involving privately held businesses, startups, and established corporations.

Location

Duties

  • Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and business law matters

  • Draft and negotiate contracts, operating agreements, and transactional documents

  • Assist in mergers, acquisitions, entity formation, and corporate governance

  • Provide strategic legal guidance to business clients on regulatory compliance, employment, and risk management issues

  • Conduct due diligence and prepare legal opinions as needed

  • Collaborate with clients and internal legal teams on ongoing legal needs

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate or business law

  • Demonstrated experience handling transactional matters and contract negotiation

  • Strong understanding of business entities, commercial transactions, and relevant state and federal regulations

  • Ability to manage multiple client matters efficiently and effectively

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar
