Associate Attorney needed for Minneapolis office

Duties:

• Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Coordinate with international counsel to facilitate the filing and prosecution of foreign patent applications
• Conduct patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, and due diligence investigations
• Advise clients on patent strategy, including portfolio management and licensing agreements
• Conduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand the technical aspects of inventions
• Assist in patent litigation and enforcement matters as needed
• Stay updated on changes in patent law and industry trends

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Familiarity with international patent laws and practices

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar license (preferred)
• Admission to the USPTO (preferred)
