Duties

  • Represent clients in non-judicial foreclosure, bankruptcy, and title issue files.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including FDCPA Letters, Demand Letters, Notices of Sale, and Sheriff's Deeds.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients and staff on various issues.
  • Review client alerts and provide compliance guidance.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, title, or collections, focusing on creditors' rights.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate and default servicing.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to diverse client needs.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
