Estate Planning and Probate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney for its Gainesville, Florida office. This role involves substantial client interaction, including leading meetings and developing personalized planning solutions. The firm practices in estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, trust administration, special needs trusts, elder law, and real estate closings. This is not a remote position.

Duties

• Meet prospective clients to gather necessary information for estate planning or probate recommendations.
• Review and update existing clients' estate plans.
• Manage probate and trust administration cases.
• Draft and review estate planning documents to meet clients' needs.
• Conduct document signing appointments, including notarization and client consultations.
• Respond to client communications promptly.
• Maintain detailed notes of all client interactions.
• Develop and maintain a robust referral network.
• Complete other assigned projects.

Requirements

• State of Florida Bar License.

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and basic Excel.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Notary Public preferred (clean background check required).

Skills

• Experience in estate planning or probate law preferred.
• Experience or training in related fields like real estate or business is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to established systems and methodologies.
