Duties

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of employment matters from intake through pre-litigation settlement.
  • Analyze case facts to assess liability, damages, and claim value.
  • Draft demand letters and review personnel files, pay records, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop pre-litigation strategy to maximize case outcomes.
  • Negotiate settlements with employers and opposing counsel.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide case updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient case progression.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes in the firm's system.

Requirements

  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
  • 1-10 years of experience in employment law or related practice areas.
  • Strong understanding of California employment law (wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment).
  • Excellent negotiation, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California State Bar membership.
