Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with two to five years of experience to join their Technology Transactions team in Sacramento, CA. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned advisors, assisting both established and innovative companies in developing their IP strategies and facilitating essential agreements.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements for companies at various stages.
  • Provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning for technology companies.
  • Assist with IP and technology aspects of complex M&A transactions and venture capital financings.
  • Conduct research and analysis on diverse technologies, including AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, and more.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions.
  • Strong interest in technology transactions for M&A matters and emerging company/venture capital clients.
  • Excellent research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • JD is required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar of the office location.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable hour levels above 1,950.
