Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Labor and Employment Department in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will work on a variety of employment-related matters, providing top-notch defense and counsel to a diverse client base, including Fortune 500 companies and small businesses.

Duties

  • Defend wage and hour class actions and PAGA actions with partner oversight.
  • Handle discovery, witness interviews, and class certification issues.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery and draft dispositive motions.
  • Advise clients on California labor and employment issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant California labor and employment experience.
  • Experience in a top 100 law firm setting.
  • Strong academic background with excellent research and writing skills.
  • California Bar membership required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar license.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients and legal teams effectively.
  • Fluent knowledge of California state and federal court procedural rules.

Moreover, global transactions concentrate on China and Japan.
