Family Law and Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Family Law and Litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or early-career attorney to gain hands-on experience in client advocacy, courtroom proceedings, and legal case management across several Michigan counties.

Location:

• Farmington Hills, MI

Duties:

• Handle family law matters and occasional small criminal cases from intake through resolution

• Conduct hearings and trials, both independently and under guidance

• Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery requests and responses

• Represent clients in all stages of legal proceedings

• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients during emotionally sensitive cases

• Maintain accurate records and meet deadlines in compliance with legal standards

Requirements:

• 0–2 years of experience in legal practice (Family Law preferred)

• Ability to handle multiple matters efficiently and independently

• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with the legal team

• High level of professionalism and compassion when dealing with clients

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan

Skills:
