The firm evolved in 1958 by founding member Daniel Ligman, who is still practicing after 55 years.

For the first 40 years, the firm focused on insurance defense litigation and defended some of the biggest corporations in America. Thousands of cases involving auto negligence, products liability, medical negligence and premise liability were successfully defended and sustained on numerous appeals. Ligman Martin's attorneys have tried hundreds of cases to a jury.
