Crivello Carlson is a law firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The firm has received generally positive reviews from attorneys and other employees who have worked there. Cons: Poor management and leadership by intimidation lead to low morale and high turnover.Attorney/Shareholder (Former Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - July 26, 2019Poor management leads to low morale and high turnover. Managing partners exhibit personal animus and are competitive with associates and shareholders with regard to existing clients. Favoritism and animus on one occasion led to a conflict of interest being ignored until a client prompted an attorney to force the ethical issue with the CEO for the second time in as many months. Females are allowed little or no chance of board membership. Shareholder meetings were often simply exercises in fear and intimidation. Cons: "I recently had the unfortunate experience of working at Crivello Carlson, S.C where the management and leadership were poor. The management style, which included intimidation tactics, led to low morale and high turnover among employees. The managing partners exhibited personal biases and were competitive with associates and shareholders when it came to existing clients. Favoritism and conflicts of interest were ignored until brought to the attention of the CEO. Females were given little opportunity for advancement to the board. Shareholder meetings were often intimidating and unproductive. One attorney, who had a high work quality and high billable hours, was forced out of the company through reassignment of inexperienced staff and interference with access to necessary documents.The only positive aspect of the job was the availability of parking. However, the negatives outweighed this one benefit. The long hours, impossible work schedules, lack of work-life balance, no positive feedback, requirement that staff keep cell phones locked away or away from desks, discouragement of non-work related communication, and inability of some board members to maintain decorum when dealing with non-board members made for a negative and unproductive work environment."
