When he was forming The Dayton Law Firm, P.C., Richard Dayton drew upon his diverse background as a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and a former senior software engineer for IBM. The end result was an estate planning firm that emphasizes efficiency and technology to serve clients with estate planning and administration needs.

Richard launched the firm in 1998 after graduating with a law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law. In 2004, he became a certified estate planning specialist through The State Bar of California, a distinction few other lawyers have attained. He shares his understanding of estate planning matters as a popular public speaker for professional groups, nonprofit organizations and the general public.
