Sutter O'Connell was established in 2002 by renowned Cleveland defense attorneys Larry Sutter and Matt O'Connell. The two partners, recognized nationally as hard-charging trial lawyers, established the firm so that they could represent clients in the only way they knew: through fearless representation, anywhere, anytime. Today we have offices in Cleveland and Nashville and employ 40 people, including 20 lawyers who handle defense litigation nationwide on behalf of businesses, including Fortune 500 companies and major excess and general insurance carriers. We represent dozens of globally recognized brands in major industries, and we've tried, defended or supervised cases in over 40 states. As a testament to our commitment to fearless representation, many of the clients we started with are still clients today. Our founders have instilled a passion for mentoring trial lawyers and we're proud to be developing the next generation of legal leaders. Sutter O'Connell mock trial coaches have led the nationally acclaimed University of Akron School of Law Trial Team to four national mock trial championships and 40 regional titles.
