Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation - Products Liability Attorney in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in products liability cases, including asbestos, silica, and benzene, as well as personal injury and wrongful death litigation. This role requires a proactive approach to case management and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties

  • Draft and review legal documents and pleadings.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and case strategies.
  • Gather evidence and conduct discovery.
  • Conduct research and interview clients and witnesses.
  • Take depositions and prepare legal briefings and motions.
  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
  • Engage and prepare expert witnesses for trial.
  • Respond to discovery requests and prepare clients for depositions.
  • Bill a minimum of 1,800 hours annually.
  • Travel for depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.

Requirements

  • Law degree.
  • 7-12 years of litigation experience; trial experience preferred.
  • Licensed to practice in WA State; Oregon license a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal research and case management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal information.
