Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in construction law to join their Real Estate, Construction, and Procurement Group in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated legal matters within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

  • Manage assigned cases from inception to resolution, developing strategies for successful outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and provide informed advice.
  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case progress and next steps.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, aiming for favorable resolutions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues across practice areas.
  • Adhere to professional conduct standards and firm policies.
  • Assist in financial management of cases, including setting retainers and managing payments.
  • Stay updated with legal developments and complete required Continuing Legal Education (CLE).

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar or eligibility to waive in.
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction law experience, with a preference for exposure to real estate development, contracting, or procurement.
  • Experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented professional.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
