Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly-qualified and motivated attorney to join its Health Care Alignment and Organizations practice group in Washington, DC. This role focuses on supporting health care clients with regulatory and compliance needs in various transactions. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in health care transactions and a detailed understanding of the industry and regulatory landscape.

Duties

  • Support health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Analyze key health care issues impacting transactions.
  • Coordinate regulatory notifications and filings.
  • Manage strategy and risk mitigation for regulatory issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on potential targets.
  • Assist with health care review and comment on purchase agreements.
  • Implement best practices for managing regulatory aspects of transactions.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in health care transactions.
  • Detailed knowledge of the health care industry and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in home health, hospice, behavioral health, or hospitals is a plus.
  • Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
