Faegre Drinker is seeking a mid-level associate to join our dynamic Health Care practice in our Washington, DC offices. This position offers the exciting opportunity to work cross-office and cross-teams on sophisticated health care matters.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-4 years of experience, with law firm experience preferred, and a strong grounding in healthcare transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Familiarity with federal and state health care regulations, including HIPAA and state privacy laws, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid, and provider licensure requirements.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating contracts related to health care, such as provider and vendor agreements with health care facilities, and business associate agreements.
  • Ability to conduct legal research and analysis on complex health care issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Interest in participating in business development, client presentations, and industry events.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Admission to the Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington, DC bar; those with eligibility to waive in promptly after hire will be considered.

 The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone whois hired into this position is $210,000-$280,000.

 

 Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law.  The initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
