Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Debt Finance Mid-Level Associate in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will support the Debt Finance practice, engaging in complex public and private placements of various debt securities, bridge financings, and restructuring transactions.

Duties

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating senior credit facilities.
  • Participate in second lien and mezzanine facilities transactions.
  • Engage in bridge and high-yield debt offerings.
  • Contribute to institutional private placements and exchange offers.
  • Develop complex restructuring plans for troubled businesses.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in debt finance.
  • Experience with senior secured, mezzanine, second lien, and syndicated finance preferred.
  • Must be barred in North Carolina.
  • Strong academic record and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with clients and colleagues.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in North Carolina.

Skills

  • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in structuring complex financial transactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
