Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level or senior associate to join their Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits team in Chicago. The role focuses on mergers and acquisitions, requiring substantial experience in related legal areas.

Duties

  • Work on executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Draft and negotiate executive employment agreements and equity incentive plans.
  • Advise on compliance with Section 280G and Section 409A.

  • Substantial experience with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proficiency in Section 280G and Section 409A.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating executive agreements.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Illinois.
