A law firm seeks a Compensation and Benefits Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess 3-6 years of experience in various aspects of compensation and benefits law.

Duties

  • Advise on equity and executive compensation matters.
  • Prepare and review proxy disclosures.
  • Draft and negotiate employment and severance agreements.
  • Provide guidance on IRC Sections 280G and 409A.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions and IPOs.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing, oral communication, and analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Illinois.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
