Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Personal Injury Attorney in Decatur, GA, to join their team and advocate for clients seeking justice and compensation for their injuries. The ideal candidate will manage case files from start to finish and possess a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial experience.

Duties

• Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
• Serve as legal counsel at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation.
• Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system.
• Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers.
• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
• Drive litigation strategy on complex, high-value personal injury matters.
• Serve as first-chair trial counsel in jury and bench trials.
• Oversee trial preparation, including motion strategy and expert development.
• Supervise and develop attorneys within your team.
• Partner with firm leadership to strengthen litigation systems and trial readiness.
• Contribute to business development efforts and professional visibility within the Georgia PI community.

Requirements

• Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law.
• Computer proficiency.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of personal injury law, tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice.

Education

• Bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree required.

Certifications

• Active Georgia Bar license.
