A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Decatur, GA. Duties

  • Manage a litigation caseload from filing through trial, including depositions, motions, mediations, and jury trials.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and trial briefs.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and senior attorneys to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients regarding case status.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia.
  • Willingness to seek admittance into federal court if not already admitted.
  • 2+ years of litigation or trial experience (defense side and personal injury preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Legal writing and research skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Strong ethical values.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory management.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate.
