Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Foreclosure Attorney to join its practice in Columbia, SC. Duties

  • Manage high-volume statewide foreclosure matters.
  • Ensure timely progression of files.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, vendors, and legal personnel.
  • Maintain accurate updates in management systems.
  • Prepare and present legal documents and pleadings.
  • Argue cases at hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Conduct public auctions as needed.
  • Review title searches for issues and proper party identification.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience in finance, real estate, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and relevant laws is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with strong task management skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.

Education
