Attorney - General Liability

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney specializing in General Liability in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in Workers' Compensation and possess strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills. Experience with depositions, mediations, and courtroom proceedings is highly preferred.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception to post-trial.
• Communicate with clients to keep them updated on case status.
• Make court appearances and participate in mediations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare, review, and respond to discovery requests.
• Conduct research as required by each case.
• Conduct direct and cross-examinations of expert witnesses.
• Meet billing requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Workers' Compensation experience.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Strong positive attitude and teamwork skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
